Eyelet Instructions

You will need the following tools:

All-in-one setter (i.e. Cropadile, Instant Setter. etc)

or Eyelet Setter and Hammer

Hole Punch
Setting/craft Mat
Eyelets

All work should be done on a mat. We suggest the Making Memories 4x4 mat as it is made for this purpose, plus it is compact and portable!

Place the end of the hole punch in the location on your layout, card, tag, etc. where you want the eyelet to be attached. With the punch held in place, hammer once or twice on the top of the hole punch until a hole has been made in your project. I would suggest practicing on a scrap until you get the hang of it!

Next, insert an eyelet through the hole you just made. With the eyelet in the hole, turn the project over. You should be looking at the back side. Place the "male" end of eyelet setter into the eyelet barrel. Tap on the hammer at the top end of the eyelet setter until the eyelet is somewhat flattened. It will not flatten completely, but the eyelet should be secure enough not to slip out of the hole!
