Printing on Ribbon

So you want to know how to print on ribbon..

Okay if you have Word (I am not a mac user so I don't know that program by heart):

Print on the regular paper exactly what you want printed.

Size it up to ensure that it fits within the bounds of your ribbon width.

Take TRANSFER HERMAFIX and place on the entire printed portion and go over a bit.

Place ribbon on the hermafix...cut at where the hermafix ends (don't extend the ribbon any longer than the hermafix)

**If you are using organdy ribbon just "tap tap tap" the ribbon down...DO NOT STRETCH to lay flat...tap tap tap.. (the ink will run if you stretch)

Run paper with hermafixed ribbon through printer again..and VOILA!

Advanced Instructions:
If you use the grosgrain ribbon it is best to insert a text box, then enter the print and then change text direction so the print will go landscape vs portrait. This helps to keep the jumping of the ink (due to the bumps of the ribbon) more visable.

LASTLY:
I do have an HP printer that prints with pulling the paper up and using the underside. This does work and I have not had any issues with jams (unless I extended the ribbon beyond the hermafix or borders of the paper).

Good luck and as always, the first one may not turn out the way you want..but keep trying.

Ohh one last tip: You can pull the ribbon off and put another strip down & re-print. The hermafix stays to the paper not the ribbon.
